Things are starting to look a little different at the intersection of Boynton Beach Boulevard and I-95! The Florida Department of Transportation’s interchange project is now underway, bringing with it exciting redevelopment opportunities for our community.
On October 1, 2025, the Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (BBCRA) acquired the 2.11-acre property located at 480 W. Boynton Beach Boulevard, formerly known as the Inn at Boynton Beach.
The building was demolished in December 2025 to make way for future redevelopment, clearing the way for a new vision. The BBCRA is pleased to announce that it has been awarded $75,000 through the Palm Beach County Solid Waste Authority’s Blighted and Distressed Property Clean-Up Grant Program to help offset the demolition costs.
444 W. Boynton Beach Boulevard and 457 NW 1st Avenue
In April 2026, the BBCRA acquired 3.3 acres surrounding 444 W. Boynton Beach Boulevard. In May 2026, the BBCRA acquired .24 acres at 457 NW 1st Avenue.
This site, one of the largest available parcels west of Seacrest Boulevard, represents a key opportunity for transformative redevelopment within Boynton Beach’s main corridor so we are seeking community input on the future of the 5.65 acres site. Located within the Boynton Beach Boulevard District, this property plays a vital role in the BBCRA’s vision for a welcoming and attractive gateway into Downtown Boynton Beach.
In alignment with the BBCRA's commitment to community-driven redevelopment, staff conducted an extensive public outreach campaign to gather feedback on the future use of the property located at 480 W. Boynton Beach Boulevard and surrounding parcels. The BBCRA used various outreach methods including door hangers in the Forest Park neighborhood, targeted social media ads and promotions posters in the utility bills. As a result of these efforts, 1,038 responses were received. The data collected provides an overview regarding land use, desired amenities and architectural character for this redevelopment site. You can view the full Community Input Survey Results here.
The BBCRA looks forward to sharing more updates as this important redevelopment project progresses—another step toward creating a more vibrant and beautiful Boynton Beach!
